SPLENDA® Sweetener Products and Sugar:
All SPLENDA® Sweetener Products are made with the sweetening ingredient sucralose (also known as SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener). Sucralose is manufactured in a patented multi-step process that starts with sugar and transforms the sugar molecule.

There are two categories of SPLENDA® Sweetener Products available to your patients:
With less than 5 calories and less than 1 gram of carbohydrate per serving, SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener meets FDA standards for “no calorie” foods and is considered a “free food” * in meal plans for people with diabetes.
SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener is available in several forms:
A new, highly portable way to use SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, these mini-tablets come in a small dispenser that fits easily in pocket or purse. Each tablet is equal in sweetness to one-half of a SPLENDA® Sweetener packet and dissolves quickly in hot or cold beverages.
Ideal for mixing with any Kool-Aid®* Unsweetened Soft Drink Mix or other unsweetened drink mixes (such as punch, lemonade, and iced tea), these pouches are pre-measured to equal the sweetness of one cup of sugar.
The newest addition to the SPLENDA® Sweetener Products family, these flavor sticks are an answer to kids' complaints that water is "boring." Poured into a glass of tap water or a bottle of spring water, the sticks provide sweetness and a hint of fruit flavor - without adding sugar and calories. Available in lemon and raspberry.
Slim, elegant, single-serving "sticks" of SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener are ideal for pouring into coffee and tea. Each stick provides the sweetness of 2 teaspoons of sugar.
SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener in three flavors: French Vanilla, Mocha, and Hazelnut. Each packet contains the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor for one cup of coffee.
In addition to sucralose, SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener Products contain small amounts of food ingredients commonly found in other no calorie sweeteners, which are added for texture and volume. SPLENDA® Packets contain the carbohydrates maltodextrin and dextrose; SPLENDA® Granular contains just maltodextrin.
SPLENDA® Sweetener Products are gluten-free, phenylalanine-free, and certified Kosher (U) Parve by the Orthodox Union.
Combining sucralose (SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener) and sugar, these products contain half the calories and carbohydrate of traditional sugars, but with many of the cooking and baking qualities patients seek.
Although SPLENDA® Sugar Blends are reduced-calorie/reduced-carbohydrate products, patients with diabetes and others on sugar-restricted meal plans need to consider the sugar and carbohydrate content in the finished baked goods made with these products and pay attention to portion sizes.
*Up to 4 packets of SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener or up to 8 teaspoons of SPLENDA® Granular is considered a free food1 in a diet for diabetes and can easily fit into a meal plan for people with diabetes.
